Help My Dad Battle Cancer & Life

Life can be short but wide. I’m so fortunate for the last 27 years to have a very close and loving relationship with my dad. Now, he must undergo a very dangerous and expensive medical transplant procedure. I have the privilege of providing him the potential gift of extending his life by donating my Stem Cells to the Bone Marrow Transplant procedure he requires.
My dad has been battling aggressive Stage 4 Recurring Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma since September 2010. His first relapse was in February 2013. He received chemotherapy and underwent an Autologous Bone Marrow Transplant. He relapsed again in July 2015 and was put on a clinical trial with plans to move to an allogeneic stem cell transplant. Well, in September of 2017 he relapsed again and he has been undergoing very intensive chemotherapy in preparation for his last potential life-extending option of an Allogeneic Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant and I am incredibly blessed to be his Stem Cell Donor.
Unfortunately, there is more to the Story. During this time he experienced severe neutropenia, chronic fatigue and developed multiple infections due to chemotherapy treatments. He was unable to work full-time and was required to avoid large public crowds due to the risk of developing further complications from chemotherapy. He is currently fully disabled due to the aggressive nature of his lymphoma. He enters the hospital January 27th to begin the dangerous process of eliminating his own stem cells in preparation for a hopefully successful transplant of my donor cells on February 2nd.
I tell you all of that in order to tell you that this battle has severely impacted Dad’s ability to successfully manage his 8 ½ year old business. Dad invested almost all of his retirement savings in trying to keep the business afloat while fighting for his life. His business was the sole source of income for both him and my mom. He is now fully disabled and unable to work and my mom must become his full-time caregiver throughout this lengthy procedure and recovery. As a result of all of this he must now close his business resulting in a significant financial loss.
My goal is to help my mom and dad begin to offset their out of pocket medical costs as well the incremental expenses they must pay for while undergoing Dad’s long-term recovery, which is expected to be at least 1 – 1-1/2 years if he is fortunate enough to survive the first six months - post transplant. Dad needs to be able to focus 100% of his energy into fighting this disease. Helping him and my mom through this time financially will allow him to do that.
I am being selfish in wanting my dad to be able to fight this disease for as long as he can. You see, I want him to be able to hold my children in his arms and bounce them on his knees and spoil them, of course. I am asking for your kind generosity and contribution of any amount to meet these goals.
