Help mother of 6 fighting cancer!

Donation protected
On Thursday, December 27, my friend Janet Brown had surgery to remove two of six brain tumors. The other four are inoperable. They are hoping to reduce those with 12 weeks of radiation which began immediately following the December 27, surgery.

Janet is a young mother of six. Her oldest, Amanda (20), is a senior at Drury University and the youngest, Clayton (2), was just adopted last year. She and her husband George rescued Clayton from an abusive situation.

Janet has a rare form of blood cancer called Clear Cell Sarcoma.
During the summer of 2017 she injured her thumb and it wouldn’t heal. After six rounds of antibiotics and surgery to remove the infection, tests revealed the rare and aggressive cancer. Since that time, she has been in the fight of her life.
At stake is not only her life but that of her children, who are too young to grow up without a mother.

She continues to look past her losses…
- Amputation of her right thumb and part of her hand
- Removal of a large amount of cancerous lymph nodes
- Continuously feeling ill throughout weeks of radiation and chemotherapy
- Now undergoing most intensive radiation following the seven-hour brain surgery
Janet is special. She never complains, and she puts everyone else first. She cleans five houses a day not because she wants to—she has too. She then goes home to take care of her family in their very small home. They have little means. You wouldn’t know it though.

This last year Janet forged on and worked every day, even while sick. Janet’s way is not to worry about herself, but about everyone else, and with no complaints. She’s one of the most positive, caring and giving people. Even in her weakened condition following the seven-hour brain surgery, she continued to tell everyone that she’s going to be back, stronger and better than ever. She’s a fighter!

We all know even the best fighters need people in their corner. Janet needs us. She is someone that goes through life doing good things for others without expecting any applause.

If 350 people gave $8 a month, after 12 months Janet would be able to pay off their small house. Her medical bills are mounting. She has insurance, but the plan is limited. Because she won’t be able to work for most or all of 2019, it would give them comfort knowing the roof over their head was covered. Janet isn’t asking. Her friends had to ask about her bills to know what she needed. Janet needs to lay down her saber for some time and let others take up her fight for her. Just as she rescued little Clayton, we need to rescue her.

This page was set up by Janet’s life-long friend that is helping her manage her bills. In 2019, if you don’t do anything else, help this young mother of six children in her darkest hour. Through much prayer and sacrifice, she will make it. Be one of the 350 who embrace this mom who never complains and puts everyone else first. Be the one!
