Well I have reached my limit...I am sobbing uncontrollably and I have nothing left in me today.
Yesterday I woke up at 7:30 am to my son itching his head saying there was a bug in his hair...yuuup we got to deal with lice for the first time. So I spent the whole day disinfecting, doing laundry, bagging up our entire house, 4 showers for my son and lots of looking like a monkey combing through his hair, etc. I went to bed last night around midnight knowing I still had so much more to do today...but then this morning I finally found my missing 12 year old cat. Miko has been gone for 2 days which is incredibly unlike him. He never leaves the backyard, unless its to go to the front yard. He never goes in the streets or far from home (he never leaves his food) and so when he didnt come home I got really worried...then he didnt come home for a second night and my worry turned to fear.
Well This morning my other cat Mufasa meowed and meowed until I would follow him..right to where Miko got stuck between the shed and a fence, he was wedged in really tight and couldnt move for TWO DAYS.
Once we got him out from beign stuck I rushed him straight to the vet. He has a fever, he couldnt stand or even hold his tongue inside his mouth, the vet said he had mice gnawing on him while he was stuck sitting in his own urine and feces and is severely dehydrated.
The vet bill is already up to $350 and I am only doing the minimum as it is...I have $10 to my name until payday because of buying all of the lice killing/cleaning products wiped the last of what I had for the week.
He still needs blood work done, Xrays (his back legs are not working right), anti biotics and more...I want to give him the care he deserves and I feel like I am failing him as his "mommy"
