Help Mike and Maggie with insurance

I generally do not do this kind of thing, I do not like to put others out and ask for hand outs however I am in a bad place right this moment.

We are hoping to get the $7000 to cover Health insurance COBRA benifits for this month, and pay back a loan that we needed to replace our furnace when it was spewing Carbon Monoxide into our home. We need the money by the end of April to make certain that we are covered, the sooner the better.

May of last year I lost my job, had this not happened I would not be in this place. I got a severance package and started retraining to be able to get another job. In the mean time we had our Air conditioner spring a leak of coolant into the house requiring a new AC unit be purchased. We had $10,000 in Medical bills to pay and more piling up due to our second pregnancy. We ran out of severance pay and we still had many bills to pay and needed a way to get by so I cashed out my 401k, this allowed us to get by and pay all outstanding debt but the one loan I meantioned earlier.

I finally got my training in and finished and landed a contract job that ended 3 months early, I found another job but it is paying less than my original job. I thought that our tax return this year would give us what we needed to bridge the gap and get us insurance till my new job offers it to me but the state took over half the return, the other portion went to a single month of insurance.

Maggie and I have done what we can to reduce our bills (Lowering the heat, combining cell plans, cutting out all the unnessisary services we can) but it has just not been possible for us to save up the money we need.
