Michelle is one of the sweetest, kindest and fun-loving people that we know. She has a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone, but she wouldn’t dare ask anyone for anything ever. That is why we have decided to share her story and ask for help.
Michelle's first encounter with cancer was in February of 2017 when she was diagnosed with Papillary Carcinoma i.e. thyroid cancer. She fought a brave fight and with treatment and medication was able to go into remission.
Fast forward to January 2019, when she noticed a lump in her breast. She received the devastating news that she has stage 3 right breast carcinoma with lymph node metastatic carcinoma, 2 breast tumors and arm pit lymph node tumors. This girl is a fighter! She began 16 weeks of chemo and had only 3 left, when out of the blue 2 weeks ago she needed emergency surgery for Gangrenous cholecystitis (GC) is a serious complication of acute gall bladder disease. While her surgery was successful, it pushed back her last 3 chemo treatments.
She still has a long road ahead of her. After she finishes her treatments, she will undergo a bi-lateral mastectomy and placement of tissue
ex -panders. She will then need 4-6 weeks of radiation!
She is blessed with her incredible husband Tony, and their 3 beautiful children. She is a wife, mother, daughter, and very special friend. They are in over their heads with medical bills that their insurance does not cover! Tony works countless hours but needed additional time off to care for Michelle and their children while she is in treatment. Michelle can no longer work, the treatments knock her down and will now have recovery time with the surgery and additional radiation.
