Fighting for Hope – Drug Rehab

Donation protected
WE REACHED OUR GOAL!
Thank you so much. In the event of additional donations, those will go first to covering additional expenses (the chunk GoFundMe takes out, the addition stay Michael has in the safe house he's in, etc.). Anything above and beyond that will go to helping other people who are battling with their addictions also get to a rehab.

There are so many Michaels out there trapped and feeling hopeless. It is one thing to know of addiction. It's completely different when it is your own blood and flesh. Fright, uncertainity, and regret all swirl in your conscience. You so desperately want to help but you're not sure how – helpless to help the one you so love. Every day is a victory but you also know that no matter how many victories, it only takes one weak moment for them all to be swallowed by defeat.

The financial burden of trying to come up with the money for a rehab program only adds to the weight already being shouldered.

So, any additional money raised will be for the next Michael, whomever he or she is. Thank you all again. I couldn't say it enough: Thank you.

Helping Michael
Recently, my brother asked for help. He was addicted to meth and had been for awhile. He had nothing left and no where to go. He fled the city he grew up in and moved in with our family. He was broken and terrified.

I am so incredibly proud of him. He is currently in a safe place waiting to go to the Good Samaritan Rehab program. He's been clean for a few weeks now but with meth addiction, the fight is far from over.

The program is a 2 month process that will care for all of his needs while he is there. I've already raised about $1000  amongst family members and in need of another $1500. We need to raise the money in a week to secure him a spot in the program.

I am committed to making this happen no matter what it takes because I believe in my brother. I am hoping to find some people who are willing to take a risk and believe in my brother as well. It's never too late to start a new chapter and it's after the darkest ones that our greatest victories come.

Please consider donating and sharing. I would also ask for prayers for my brother, for those around him, and for my family.

Thanks.
