Help Me Save Revy

Donation protected
My dog is the only thing I have as I have no kids, no significant other, and no immediate family within 3000 miles and since I'm relatively new to the area I have very few friends. Over the last 7years of having him we have traveled all over the country trying to show case the beauty of the world and encourage others to do the same as we remind them what's out there and what's possible.

I grew up moving around a lot (over a dozen different schools) and because of that I have no life long friends from school and I continued my traveling ways as an adult and most of my friends are spread around the country so it's very much just been the 2 of us for those 7 years.

He's an amazing, adorable, sweet lab-mix named Revy and he's been diagnosed with kidney disease, or at least that's what they're treating him for.

I'm an artist, I'm freelance, and so because of that I don't make very much money, just enough to support us month to month without too many complications.

The initial tests the Dr. wanted to run was just over $1,000 and I don't have that to spare, so I sanctioned for about 1/3 of that of those. I literally hated myself for not being able to afford my dog every luxury or necessity to get better. If I had it, I would have done it. No second guessing. Then the Dr. presented me with an option of leaving him there for 1-3 nights at the cost of $1500 to flush out his kidneys with IV's and I definitely didn't have that. The anti biotics and medicines, I had to skip on some of them as it was approaching $1,000 as well! All in I paid $672, without any promise of any of this going to work or fix him.

There are more drugs and more tests that could be done but with all my bills being due in a week I just don't have the extra $2100 in tests and medicines to try and keep him going! I knew he would die one day, but I thought it would be from something such as a car wreck, an animal attack, or old age. Something I could understand, not from something I could have potentially saved him from if I had the money.

This is a dog, but he is my dog, and more importantly he's my best friend. He's not acting the same and I want that sweet, loving, playful boy back.

I never ask anyone for help without being able to give something back, and this is still one of those times. I want to be able to send anyone who donates a gift, a thank you, a print, something for them helping me out in a time when my heart is the heaviest.

Thank you, from the very deepest part of my heart, through all the tears and snot, I thank you.
