Help me save Mimi's leg
Donation protected
Mimi is a young little kitty who adopted me a couple of months ago when she showed up on my porch injured, skinny and mewing. My family took her in from the cold on that night. We had the vet stitch her up, and she became part of the family. On April 2nd, Mimi surprised us all by birthing two kittens. We didn't even know she was expecting! What a joy.
On Sunday, April 7th, Mimi was out stretching her legs in our backyard. She hopped the fence into the neighbor's backyard and was immediately and badly mauled by the neighbor's boxer.
We whisked her to the emergency vet, and the next day to another veterinary office for exploratory surgery on her chest and abdomen to repair multiple hernias to save her life. This surgery appears to have been successful, and she is resting and healing.
Another injury that must be addressed is a badly broken leg. The dog broke her radius and ulna clean through in his jaws. She should be strong enough for the next surgery in the next week or so. The vet has quoted me $2,950 to perform this orthopedic surgery.
I have spent over $3,500 this week on veterinary bills, saving Mimi's life. I am asking for help coming up with the cost to put a plate in Mimi's leg. If I don't figure out a way to do this, she will lose the leg.
I want to get her healthy and reunite her with her beautiful kittens who miss her. Will you help me help Mimi? I'm desperate.
