Help me reach my 30th birthday goal

Hey my friends! In one month I turn 30, and this new year of my life includes hopes and dreams of making some big things happen.

One of those dreams is to become a certified CrossFit Kids trainer by this summer. To make this dream a reality, I would like to drive to Atlanta this weekend, March 18-19th for the course training and certification (the next training that is close to Nashville is not until August). After completing the CrossFit Kids specialty course I will also be required to get my Level 1 CrossFit coach certification in order to officially be a trainer, and that brings the cost total up to $2,200 for everything.

Right now I am working for a non-profit as a mental health counselor to adolescents and teens in a middle school, and am currently under supervision to pursue state licensure for private practice in the near future. I LOVE what I do and feel lucky everyday to be able to work with youth and families, but the training, supervision, and certifications required to get my business going far exceeds what my non-profit salary can currently cover.

I feel passionate about empowering all kids, boys and girls of all abilities, and giving them the tools that they need to be the best version of who they are. Everyone deserves the opportunity to feel strong, capable, and confident that they can take on anything through regular exercise, mindfulness, and learning to eat well as fuel for the body.  All while having FUN, trying new things, and hopefully making new friends! I want to build a community where kids know that they belong, and feel challenged while still knowing that if they can just show up and try they are already winning.

It would mean the world to me to have your support in becoming a CrossFit Kids Coach. I spend everyday thinking about how to best nurture the minds, bodies and hearts of the kids I serve, and I believe that with your help and encouragement we can make it happen!
