Help Me Heal--- Send Indigo to Herbal School!

Donation protected
Hey y'all,

I'm Indigo and I am currently trying to send myself through herbal school. Unfortunately, I don't have the means to pay for it on my own in the time frame allotted but with a little help from y'all I know my dreams of learning to heal by way of plants and herbs are possible!

My journey:

In the past 5 years my relationship with food, plants, the earth and herbal medicine has evolved immensely. I noticed I felt better one day after experiencing tummy and digestion related health issues for most of my life, it was all because I had unintentionally adopted a plant-based diet due to a new roommate with lots of food allergies.

My friend had unknowingly set me up for a journey of healing and connecting to the earth by broadening my relationship with food. I began to actually think about what I was putting into my body. He  questioned every ingredient and it made me curious. I began to look at everything with a more skeptical eye. I questioned everything before buying it and putting it to use, whether it was food, medicine, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products, soap, shampoo, etc. I wanted to know what was going into my body and what kind of impact a product would have on me if I decided to consume or put it to use. This all eventually led to me understanding the impact harmful products not only had on my body, mind and spirit but also the impression their manufacturing had on this earth and all that dwell here.

Finding my way to healing instead of a cure:

I woke up one day and realized that my physical and mental ailments were controlling my everyday life. I, like many, experience a myriad of health ailments with symptoms ranging on the spectrum from mental to physical. As of now, I am voyaging into the realm of plants, herbal remedies, and folk medicine to find healing. The conventional western approach to medicine is not what I am interested in because a cure is not what I want; I want healing. On this journey I've learned that I want my body, mind and spirit back and intact. I want healing, so I turned to non-traditional modalities of medicine. I haven’t looked back sense.

Y'all wonderin':
Why plants, healing, and spiritual practices?

Being a young Black Indigenous woman in this world is isolating at times, and I have found on my journey that no matter what, the earth has held me and continues to do so. I am interested in developing a more intimate relationship with the earth and plants in order to nourish my spiritual connection with any land I occupy. Healing is what brings me to y’all. I am looking to make connections to my ancestral modes of healing, spirituality and land stewarding practices. As of now, I feel I don’t know much but I am truly ready to dedicate myself to seeking the wisdom I know is out there.
