Hello my name is Carol Vargas. God willing, I will be entering a beautiful religious order called the Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matara (http://ssvmusa.org) on May 12th, 2017. I know--it's just around the corner. Ahhh!!

At the age of fifteen, I had my conversion through the sacrament of Confirmation. Since then I have had a huge thirst for Christ. My senior year of high school, religious life became a daunting question. I began to prayerfully consider it until my second year of college. I knew it was going to be quite a journey, but I knew Mama Mary was right by me in his calling. At age nineteen, I moved to Casa Guadalupe, a house of healing, prayer and discernment (www.casaguadalupe.net). I had the space to grow more deeply in prayer with Jesus, to discern different communities, and to experience His love and mercy for me. And the Lord has made His call clear, inviting me to follow His love by upholding the sanctity and dignity of every human life, and following the call of John Paul II in the evangelization of the culture through the Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matara.
In order to enter the community, I must be debt free as the sisters take a vow of poverty, and cannot take on any debt. While I have paid off most of my debt, I was just given this date of May 12th this week, and I have a little bit left to go...
I am asking you to consider supporting me. First, through prayer. 'Cause I could use all the prayers I can get! ;) And secondly, to consider supporting me financially. Just like a simple Hail Mary goes a long way, every little bit will make a difference. And lastly, thank you in advance for your support! It's been the prayers, encounters, and effort of many many people. Some of you may not even realize that you are part of this story and journey, and you have helped me get here. So thank you my brother and sister.
