Help Me bring Ryan Home

Donation protected

My name is Tanya and I am the mother of an incredible 7 year old boy named Ryan. For the last 10 months Ryan and I have been for all intents and purposes, homeless.
7 years ago I informed my boyfriend that I was pregnant and that we were going to be having a baby. I was thrilled and I thought he was too. 3 months later he left, he wasn't ready to be a father.
My baby was my life's fulfillment and I had no choice but to go on alone. 6 months later Ryan was born and gave my life the meaning I had been seeking for as long as I could remember.
Our lives together have never been easy, when is it truly ever for a single parent?! However together we overcame every obstacle that came our way.
I am a registered nurse and I have worked shift work 18 years. Since Ryan was born I have worked nights almost exclusively to earn extra money and be home with him during the day as much as possible. Thanks to exceptional friends and family I was able to ensure that Ryan was well looked after while he slept and I worked to support us.
I worked hard, deprived myself of luxuries and was able to save enough money to buy a home for Ryan and I to call our own.
In January 2016 we found ourselves an amazing little single family home in a good neighbourhood, near his school. I negotiated hard and with my savings I was able to put down a full 20% on the home. I did my due diligence, hired a real-estate agent, had the home inspected by a certified home inspector and used a mortgage advisor.
Our little home passed every test we could throw at it.
In May 2016 after some small hurdles with the sellers we finally arranged a sale date and met with the notary to sign over the house. Due to the sellers obstacles my Agent had negotiated an inconvenience penalty which the sellers paid me for my time and their delay. After we signed for the house I handed their check back to them and told them that sometimes life just gets in the way and that I didn't want their money.
On move in day I was dragging boxes into the house when I noticed that there were ants. Lots of ants! Ants EVERYWHERE!!! On the floor, in the carpets, cupboards, ceiling, on and on...
A visit from the home inspector and a exterminator brought only more bad news.
Not only was the house infested with carpenter ants but I had a mouse infestation too!!!
The exterminator and I started opening up a wall only to have ants come pouring out of the opening. The exterminator told me to vacate the house. Instead of bait he gassed the entire building. The mice were baited and trapped.
My lawyer told me to get a structural engineer to do an inspection on the house due to the carpenter ants.
The structural engineer came in July and low and behold found several significant water infiltration points in the house. My front door and front window being the primary sources. After tearing out the walls and checking we found black mold (Stachybotrys) and fungus (Aspergillus) throughout the house.
Final results from the structural engineer, a 42 page report highlighting health and life threatening issues with Ryan and my home!
At the engineers recommendation I had an air quality test performed in November of 2016, its results were as dismal as the engineers. Another 36 page report was my reward and the news that my house wasn't safe to live in.
By sheer luck Ryan and I hadn't ever actually lived in the house, but scary enough much of our clothing and personal effects had been in the house and been contaminated.
From June 2016 till April 2017 we have moved 10 times and we are still surviving on the charity of others.
Where are the original sellers you ask? Why not go after them legally? I did! They escaped under the protection against  Bankruptcy laws. My legal proceedings have been suspended at this time due to these laws. I can't get anything from them.
My homeowners insurance wont pay for anything since it was a pre-existing condition and the bank won't risk anything more in a house that is slowly becoming my doom.
My options are to declare bankruptcy myself (Obviously something I am loathe to do) or repair the house back to a livable condition.
EVERYTHING in the house must be cleaned, and decontaminated. Some of the items aren't even worth the cost of decontamination. I need to buy new clothes for Ryan and I, furniture, mattresses, and appliances. What I can salvage I will but I can't risk Ryans' and my health.
My greatest concern now is Ryan. He's been through so much. More than I think most mature adults could cope with and he still hanging in there. It's wearing on him though. The instability, the lack of his own space, constantly changing rules from house to house. Not knowing who is the final authority and from his own words "I don't have any of my toys, I don't have any of my things, I don't know what I can or can not do, I just want to go home!"
PLEASE help me take Ryan Home. He deserves that, for everything he has been through, for everything a 7 year old shouldn't have to go through and for the years it will take us to get over this life experience, please help in any way you can.
If you think about it if EVERY person who see this and contributes one single dollar then I am SURE my goal could be met in no time!
