Help me bring my pets to Amsterdam!

Donation protected

Hi! My name is Jerome and I'm a 24-year-old Filipino guy living in Amsterdam since October 2018. Previously, I lived in Madrid with Leslie, my ex-partner. Together, we had three dogs: Akira (Boxer, female), Chomsky (Spanish Water Dog, female), and Mado (Greyhound-Labrador, male). All of them are chipped and have been vaccinated.

Unfortunately, Leslie died on June 20th, 2019 of a heart attack, leaving our 3 dogs without a dad.

As you can see, they all feel very sad after he passed away and according to a friend, they have been acting "strange" a few days before it happened.

Mado - 2 and a half years old

Akira - 3 years old

Chomsky - 2 and a half years old

After his death, my ex-partner's family came to his house to take care of legal things but unfortunately, the dogs were not their priority. They told me that if the dogs did not find a home by the end of last week, they will simply open the gates and have them run away.

Obviously, this is something that I cannot tolerate as the dogs mean so much to me. I then decided to bring them to the Netherlands and find them a home here as it will be easier for me to rehome them here than in Spain (where no one will be able to take care of the papers).

I arranged for them to be in a dog residence until July 13, which cost me a lot of money considering that I only work minimum wage. Afterward, a courier service will pick them up and bring them to France where I can pick them up.

The courier gave us a favor by only charging us for the costs of transporting them, but even then it is at a steep 700 euros which I just cannot afford.

This is why I started this GoFundMe Page: I need your help in transporting my three dogs to the Netherlands so that I can find them a home for life.

The funds will be used for the following:

700 EUR - Payment for the courier
300 EUR - Hiring of the car to transport them from France to the Netherlands

All other expenses (kennels, leashes, etc) will be shouldered by myself and a couple of friends.

What happens after they're in Holland?

Once they're in Holland, all three will stay with me temporarily.

I have decided to keep Akira, as she is the first dog that my ex and I adopted so there is sentimental value attached to her. She's a loving dog, if not a bit (okay, maybe too much!) jealous:

I'm doing my best to find Mado and Chomsky another home. I've already contacted several foster homes that can take them in for adoption, but unfortunately, they cannot start the process unless the dogs are in the Netherlands.

Chomsky (yes, I named her after the famous linguist Noam Chomsky) is the "pack leader". She's a super energetic dog who loves to greet you and force you to give her belly rubs, haha!

Mado is a smart, cool, and emotionally connected dog. He can easily sense your emotions and he does what he can to make you feel better. Also, he likes to pose for photos:

We would definitely appreciate all of your help! These dogs mean so much to me and my ex and I just can't let them be abandoned in Spain.  They'll definitely bring a lot of joy to the families that will adopt them, so please help us bring Akira, Mado, and Chomsky home!

If you're interested in adopting either Mado or Chomsky after they have been brought to the Netherlands, please don't hesitate to contact me via WhatsApp/phone at +31623538717 or email at [email redacted]
