Help Maureen Overcome Cancer

Our dear Maureen is preparing for a stem cell transplant to defeat the lymphoma that she has been dealing with over the past 3 years.

We are hopeful that this procedure will be a success, however it will mean that she is in recovery for 6 months or so and will be unable to work.

As you know she's a strong, stoic woman, but she needs our help to return to full health!

She's in Ottawa now receiving chemo, and will undergo the stem cell procedure near the end of the month. For the transplant phase she will be at Ottawa General Hospital.

Once the procedure is deemed a success, she will most likely need to stay in Ottawa for a week or two afterwards for follow-up visits. 

For this she'll need to cover rent and caretakers while there. It would be great if she didn't have to worry about covering these expenses at all.

The hope is she can return home as soon as possible, however, financial assistance would also be necessary as she will need daily care and assistance while she recovers.

Of course, any support you can give will be much appreciated, be it visits, help around the house or anything else Maureen needs.

We would love to get this fund started right now, to be able to organize the care she needs as soon as possible.
