Matthew was attending school at Coral Springs Charter High School as a Freshman this year and playing football for the Coral Springs Charter Panthers Junior Varsity Team when he started feeling ill.

After many trips to the hospital and finally being sent to Joe Dimaggio Children's Hospital in Miami he was diagnosed with Type B ALL Leukemia.

He's now starting his second of three rounds of chemo therapy treatments.  He'll need treatments still for the next three years.

The best way we can help him and his family right now is with the financial hardship of such intense medical treatments. The funds will be controlled directly by the family and used for medical bills not covered by insurance and homecare bills to administer some of the therapy.  Any donation big or small will go to good use and is greatly appreciated!!

Thank you all so much for your support!! Please keep Matthew and his family in your thoughts and prayers!

Matthew Update : The past week has been challenging....Matthew has been dealing with stomach pain...the doctors believe it could be from the steroids but are not completely sure. Also, today we found out his blood numbers are low which means he is unable to to continue treatment this week. The goal for next week is for his numbers to be high enough to continue on with chemo treatment. He is in good spirits when he is not in pain so we are thankful for that. Keep praying for my baby!!! Hopefully I will have a better update next week!

Yesterday was another long day of treatment for Matthew. He handled it well but he is exhausted. Lotsy who is the resident clown of the hospital came to visit Matthew to see how treatment was going. She always brings a smile to Matthew’s face as well as all the kids and families at Joe DiMaggio ❤️

Today was a long and heavy treatment day but afterwards Matthew was asked to meet Former Vice President Joe Biden and Jeff Conine who is a baseball World Series Champion.Jeff Conine is the founder of the Conine Club. The Conine Club is a place where families stay overnight and be close with their children while being treated. The meeting really brought joy to Matthew and our family. We sat down with Mr. Joe Biden and discussed Matthew’s Type of Leukemia, treatment, prognosis, as well as his own son’s diagnosis of cancer❤️
