Assalamu Alykum wa Rahamatu Llahi Wabarakatuhu,
Red Lane Mosque (al-aqsa Coventry) was established in 2016 with an aim to serve the Ummah and be on the forefront and a beacon in the community in looking after their spiritual affairs. The centre will not only bring community cohesion but also educate and inspire the young generation to be the leaders of their society. It provides a place for its worshipers to pray and contemplate as well as being a hub for educational programmes and other everyday services. Along with Five daily prayers, the Masjid offers madrasa for children, guidance and counselling, Islamic talks and lecture, funeral services and many more.
In 2016, the Mosque place was purchased (previously it was a ware house) by collecting Qard al-Hasan of £259, 000 from our brothers and sisters. Alhamdulillah, so far we are able to raise and pay back £179, 000. May Allah SWT grant all of them who generously donated and contributed to this Mosque. However, we still need £80, 000 Qard al-Hasan which should pay back to our brothers and sisters as soon as possible and make the Mosque debt free.
Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said “Whoever builds a Mosque for Allah – be it large or small – Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.” [Sunan al-Tirmidhi)
Allah SWT says: “… and spend something (in charity) out of the provision which we have bestowed you, before death should come to any of you and he should say, o my Rabb! Why do you not give me respite for a little while? I should then have given (largely) in charity, and I should have been one of the doers of good.” (Qur’an, 63:10)
“Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over? And it is Allah who withholds and grants abundance, and to Him you will be returned.” [Qur’an; 2:245]
“Allah, the Exalted, says, ‘Spend, O son of Adam, and I shall spend on you.’” - says the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
By helping to make the Mosque debt free, your Sadaqah Jariyah will continue giving benefit for generations to come insha’Allah. Therefore, we request you all to support this fund raising campaign and donate generously towards the Red Lane Mosque.
