Cameras for Classrooms

This year the New York City Department of Education Chancellor Richard Carranza's goal for students is "Equity and Excellence". 

We at Magic Box fully support this initiative, and are inspired by the thought that access is no longer enough.

In all of our programs we strive for excellence. Through our Mobile Media Arts Lab, we provide free or subsidized equipment so that all schools can participate in our pioneering media arts programs. As we move into the school year, we've realized that our equipment is in dire need of updating so that we can provide the best possible media arts experience for our students.  To do so,  we're reaching out to our Magic Box community to ask for your help.

Our needed equipment list is as follows:
Digital Memory Cards
iPads 
Canon Rebel Cameras
SONY Vixia Handicams
Tripods
iPad mics
Cateater Stop Motion Studio apps
Zoom Digital Recorders

A donation of $5 purchases a Cateater Stop Motion Studio App.
A donation of $10 can cover the cost of print for a photography class.
A donation of $15 buys a table top tripod.  
A donation of $25 can provide a two memory cards to students. 
A donation of $100 purchases a Zoom Digital Recorder. 
A donation of $500 covers the cost of a Canon Rebel package that includes the camera, memory card, tripod, and case or
A donation of $500 also covers the cost of an iPad, mic, tripod, mount, and Cateater Stop Motion Studio App. 
A donation of $1000 buys a SONY Vixia Handicam, tripod, mount, and case.

We've set up a GoFundMe campaign to help us accomplish these vital equipment goals. We hope you'll take a moment to help our students' visions become reality.  Any donation you provide will help us get one step closer to ongoing excellence with our students!
