Madaac’s FIV Fundraiser

My name is Tara and I’m looking for help to pay for my cats surgery. His name is Madaac. I adopted him from an agency where I was told and given paper work regarding his upper respiratory issues, scratched corneas, FIV positive and was told he was missing most of his teeth due to the FIV virus.
The facility told me he was fine and there were no other known issues. Madaac was there for 1 month and when he was given to me he was skin and bones. This means he was not eating well. Per the facility it was due to stress.
On the first day I had him I noted he was responding in pain while eating. How did the facility not know this? I called them and they said he was just agitated from meds he was forced to take. A few days later I noticed blood in his mouth and an odor so I called to schedule a vet appt. the day before his vet appt blood was dripping out of his mouth along with brown discharge.
When his vet took a look they noticed he had roots exposed in his mouth and teeth brown below the gum line. This was not fresh or something that happened after I adopted him. The facility never disclosed this. I have a scheduled surgery for him for 8/10 to remove the rest of his teeth. He will never have to suffer dental pain again and we can go on focusing on just keeping him safe from other things associated with FIV.

If donations run over the amount I’m working towards then I have discussed with the vet clinic to have funds left in Madaac’s account to go towards other owners who are stuck in a tough spot as well. By giving you all this info it allows you to call the clinic and verify for yourself that this surgery will be taking place and the cost of this surgery. You can donate directly to them without concern of me running off with free money considering this is not an organization fund me account.
