Help Lyova and Olga

This page has been set up by the friends of Olga Frolova and her son Lev to help them financially after the sudden and unexpected death of their husband and father, Phillip Appleton.

Early morning on November 14th, Phil woke his family up and went downstairs to prepare breakfast. A few minutes later his partner Olga and their 5-year old son Lev came downstairs to find him unconscious. Heart attack took his life within minutes.

Phil and Olga were a loving, kind and caring couple. They were real friends and soulmates. They lived, made plans, were buying Christmas presents. Phil had such a bubbly personality, soul of the company, always helpful and gentle. He never complained about his health, and this sudden death of a young man was a total shock for his family and us, their friends.

Olga's grief is inconsolable and overwhelming. But moreover, she has to move urgently to a smaller home, as she can't afford to pay rent. She is facing enormous solicitor's fees and needs to find money for the funeral. Phil didn't have savings or life insurance. What makes things even harder is that Olga and Lev don’t qualify for any help from the state or from Phil’s work, as he was self-employed, and the couple was not legally married.

We, Olga's friends, set up this page to raise money for her and Lev, so they can afford to find suitable accommodation close to school, pay funeral expenses and legal fees.
