Help Little Quinton Beat Cancer

Donation protected
Our Little Fighter, Quinton has been battling cancer since he was 4 months old.  Quinton is almost 3 years old, he has been fighting cancer for 26 of the 35 months he has been alive.

He was originally diagnosed with (ALL) Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and spent 24 months being treated at Victoria Children's Hospital in Ontario Canada.  During this time, his parents Nikki and Jim and both siblings 9 and 5 moved into the Ronald McDonald house to be close to little Quinton full time. This caused a huge emotional and financial strain on the family.  On January 12, 2018, Quinton was given the all clear and was allowed to come home and resume regular toddler life. What a relief to all be home together again.

Unfortunately, tragedy has struck again.  On July 9th, 2018 the Howe family learned that Quinton's cancer has returned.  Now age 2, he has been admitted back to Victoria Children's Hospital to begin chemotherapy again.

No family should have to go through this once, let alone twice.

We need your help!

The Howe family is still recovering financially from Quinton's first battle with cancer.  Now they have to do it all over again.

Our goal is to raise money to help ease their financial burden so they can concentrate on helping their Little Fighter beat cancer again.

Childhood cancer makes us all feel powerless and weak.  Please donate.

Any amount is greatly appreciated.  We also need prayers, thoughts, and healing energy for Quinton and his family.

Help us get the word out. Please share.

BACKGROUND STORY

Quinton Howe is a rambunctious toddler at the centre of his family. He is a fearless, energetic brother and a warm, affectionate son.

He was first diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) when he was just four months old, days before he was about to celebrate his first Christmas. Quinton spent that Christmas and much of the first year of his life in the hospital. After many months of intensive in-patient treatment, Quinton was finally allowed to go home and continue his treatment as an out-patient. Though he would be readmitted to the hospital several more times during his treatment, two years after his initial diagnosis, Quinton was given the all clear by his doctors and he finally went home as no patient at all.

Unfortunately, this status didn’t last for very long. In early July, just under two months before his 3rd birthday, his parents were told that his cancer had come back. It is impossible to express the devastation this news wrought.

Once again the Howe family have been yanked out of their regular lives and have relocated from their small town in Southern Ontario to the Children’s Hospital in London. While Quinton and his mom have moved back into their old hospital room, his dad and older brother and sister have moved into the Ronald McDonald House across the road so they can all be together as often as possible. Each of the room’s windows are visible by the other, and at night the Howe’s use flashlights to shine goodnight messages to one another.

Quinton’s treatment has already begun in earnest but he has a long road ahead of him, the direction of which is unknown. Treatment plans that involve chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and/or bone marrow transplants have all been placed on the table and all depend on how well he responds to each successive round of treatment. This means Quinton could be staying in the hospital for a long time or may even be transferred to a larger hospital where he will be even farther away from his home.

It goes without saying that Quinton and his family are facing a great deal of uncertainty, and this is why they need your help. In a way, Quinton is very lucky. He has a family who is unceasingly dedicated to him.  But uprooting a family and putting pause on a regular life comes with its own financial strain. The Howe’s want nothing more than to bring Quinton home, cancer free for good. But until that day, they hope they can stay together to support him and one another for as long as possible. By donating to the Howe family you make sure Quinton can keep sending and receiving his goodnight messages.
