Help Linda Kick Cancer’s A$$

A month ago, my mom had to have “the talk” with me & my brother, one that she never would have dreamed to have to give, and one that we were obviously not prepared to hear....cancer has never shied away from my family, but as many times as I’ve seen it beat, it doesn’t make it any easier. The doctors seemed very hopeful but my mom was crushed that she wouldn’t be able to come to Florida for my wedding. Can you believe that’s what she was really upset about?? So the wedding is being moved but that’s a whole other story!! After 2 weeks of tests, Stage 3 Rectal cancer was the diagnosis. But, due to the location and shape, the doctors are confident that surgery won’t be necessary and that chemo & radiation will get rid of it. While this is amazing news, the cost of these treatments is outrageous and her insurance absolutely sucks, and I can’t bear to watch my mom suffer through these treatments while slipping into debt. So, with the help of my moms amazing friends & our family, we’ll be throwing a fundraiser to help her make it through this tough time.
