Recovering - Encephalitis & Stroke

Lil Travis was in 3 Different Hospitals from the 21st of June to August 17. He started with an Ear Infection, Remittent Fever and had 3 Seizures.  They found a Large Stroke. He got Encephalitis, or inflammation of the brain tissue,  all due to a Common Cold Sore, HSV 1, that went to his Brain Instead of his Lips which is rare, affecting about one in 200,000 people each year in the U.S.. He got sent to the ICU in our City  shortly after finding the Stroke then he got  flown to Minneapolis Children's Hospital PICU. He's got Formula through his Nose and now through a G-Tube .
He's had Eye Problems, Repetitive Movements with his Right Hand, Startle Effect  his Left Side  hasn't really moved yet. He's pretty much been just laying there. He had the Ventilator in for a few Days but can Breathe on his own. They took off the EEG Wires again from his Head Today because there's been no Signs of Seizures. He's got 4 Spinal Taps and 5 MRIs.

Lil Travis is in Recovery. He will be doing Physical, Occupational, Speech, Music also Suppressive Therapy for at least a Year. He got Intensive Therapy at  Gillette Rehab Hospital in St. Paul, MN and now Outpatient in our Home City Minot.
