Help Lexi get to Germany

Donation protected
I’ve been holding off for quite some time now on posting any info about my journey with Lyme and coinfections but here is the OFFICIAL news —- I was accepted to Klink St. Georg in Germany for Lyme treatment!

The Good:
Klink St. Georg is a world-renowned clinic in Bad Aibling, Germany, that specializes in treatment of cancer and Lyme disease using Hyperthermia. It is the only treatment that can “eradicate” Lyme from your body completely — where the treatments here in the US only promise remission and relapse.

The Bad:
I’ve already done 18 months of oral Antibiotics (4 antibiotics, anti-malarial, anti-parasitic, and handfuls of other meds) with some success while on meds, but my symptoms creeped right back after we stopped treatment. My worst symptoms are my neurological symptoms (memory, cognitive, depression, and disassociation). Along side with the joint, bone, muscle, nerve pain, flu like symptoms, swollen glands, sweats, light & sound sensitivity, numbness in arms and legs, headaches, eye pain, insomnia, and yeah, the list goes on forever... Currently, my new doctor in Boston wants to start me on IV antibiotics ($$$$$) and is working with Germany to start a new protocol of meds.

The Ugly:
The treatment itself is 2 weeks long (with an option of a 3rd week) and costs around $18,000. I put in a few links at the bottom of this post from the actual Clinic but will follow up with a complete breakdown of treatments and costs. The financial burden that comes with Lyme disease treatment is significant. With the lack of awareness and research that comes with Neurological Lyme/ Chronic Lyme disease, almost all of the costs are out of pocket and have been since I started treatment back in 2017, leaving me in a financial hell. I am currently waiting to hear back from a foundation that has recently taken my application under consideration as well.

My hope is that we can create a network of financial support to aid my fight of regaining my health to live life again.

Breakdown of cost :
€17,500 for two week treatment at the clinic
$1,000 for flight
€200 for shuttle to and from clinic
$2,000 for 6 week protocol medications post treatment
$2,000 for 2 month recovery

Once home I will be working with my doctor in Boston to start aggressively treating Bartonella and Babesia with a full protocol of meds and multiple IV antibiotics as well.
