Help Lawrence Kinnear is his fight against cancer

Lawrence Kinnear, a devoted, caring, kind and generous friend of so many. A work colleague, a brother, a son a team mate. This lovely young man who holds such a heavy place in the hearts, of all those in his community, received some devastating medical news 6 weeks ago. After months of complaining of an unknown illness, where he experienced severe flu like symptoms, and with numerous trips to and from the doctors, undergoing multiple medical examinations, Lawrence was finally diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkins Lymphoma. 

Doctors identified 6 lumps in his neck and one large lump in his chest directly above his heart, roughly the same size as it. Upon receiving the diagnosis he was quickly instructed that he would be undertaking immediate chemotherapy treatment, with the first cycle lasting 2 months. After which, his condition and the aggressiveness of the cancer will be reassessed and the chemotherapy may need to be repeated or intensified.

Since receiving the news about his medical condition, and even prior to, Lawrence has missed months of work and will continue to do so as his chemotherapy treatment progresses.  Whilst a large portion of the costs of chemotherapy are covered by Medicare, depending on the severity of the treatment, the individual can still have to pay anywhere from $5,000 - $50,000 to cover additional costs.

Whilst Lawrence has the fight of his life on his hands, he and his support group are more than confident that he is going to come out on top and be fitter than ever. However, it is a long road ahead, with extreme pressure on his physical and mental health.
