Help Kristy get to the vet!









FHi,
My name is Amira Hawija, I am half Russian and half Syrian and grew up most of my life in south Florida. So I've had this cat since I was in third grade and now about to start my first year of college. This cat is my childhood best friend I remember begging my mom for the longest for her to get one and finally she gave in and picked me up from school one day with a small skinny fluff ball inside of a bag. It was Kristy. My mother many years ago used to work at a nail salon and had a client that was trying to get rid of one of their cats because landlord only allowed one pet and just gave her to my mom! The little cat was named Cleopatra at the time because of her beautiful green eyes and fur that almost looked like eyeliner that Egyptians used but for some reason when I first saw her the name Kristy seemed more fitting and that's what we have been calling her since! So just last week I noticed a small lump on the side of her fur and thought nothing of it because they seemed to come and go all the time on her but this time that wasn't the case. Just today I came home from my job and discovered the lump on the side of her neck had doubled in size and is super swollen my poor baby couldn't take the pain when I was examining her. I do not know what it is but the way that her lump has doubled in size and is now causing pain to my cat is alarming and I really do not know if its life threatening or not which is the part that scared me the most. I have looked around online to try to figure out what is wrong with Kristy but that can only do so much because I am not a vet. Kristy currently lives with her brother Ziggy which we got from the same people and they are the best of friends and I don't know if her sickness is contagious god forbid it spreads to Ziggy we just don't know. The unknown is extremely terrifying and this is why I wanted to start this. I work many hours a week and barley manage to salvage enough to pay for my car and classes... I don't want to let Kristy go especially
if there is an easy cure for her but again everything is unknown. I have grown up with this cat for more than half of my life I am now 18 and I don't want to see my poor animals suffering. If you can't donate that's understandable I only ask for people to share this and get the word out as much as possible. I put the goal for 2000 dollars simply because I do not know the price of what it will take to get Kristy better. If god willing it is an easy fix I will use 100% of the left over donations and give them to other pet owners in my current situation.
