Dear Community Members,
We are excited to announce that the Kingston Babe Ruth 12U Softball Team has been invited to participate in the Babe Ruth Softball World Series July 25 – August 3 in Treasure Coast, FL where they will be competing in a 6 day tournament against teams from around the United States. As you can imagine, the team is thrilled about this “once in a lifetime” opportunity and have accepted the invitation.
They earned their World Series berth by winning the South Eastern New York State Title, defeating Highland 13-0 in the championship game. This is their second year in a row to win the title while also going undefeated in tournament play. The finances necessary for this accomplishment extend beyond our normal operating budget. Therefore, we are tasked with the challenge of raising additional funds to help defer some of the costs (travel, hotels, meals, tournament fees, etc.) that our families will be incurring.
We would like to extend an invitation to you and your business or organization to donate in support of the 2019 12U Softball World Series experience. The Kingston Cal Ripken & Babe Ruth League is a not-for-profit organization operating through the support of community voluntarism and sponsorship. It is through the help of the community that the league is able to exist. It truly does “take a village.”
