HELP KIANA GET HER LIFE BACK
Our beloved Kiana was first diagnosed with a rare tissue cancer in her cheek at the age of 14. After a year of fighting for her life with several rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, she was cancer free.
In April of 2017, ten years later, she was diagnosed with another type of tissue cancer in her sinus. After three rounds of failed chemotherapy, the only remaining option was to surgically remove the tumour, which meant removing her left jaw bone to avoid the cancer spreading to her brain. She underwent surgery only to discover a few weeks later that there were still living cancer cells. Subsequent surgery involved amputating her eye and transplanting bone from her hip to create her new jaw. This surgery failed, however, one week later they tried again - and succeeded!
Three surgeries later with a whole new jaw, she is thankfully CANCER FREE. The Austrian treatment has been outstanding up until now and we are so thankful to have her by our side, but her recovery is going to be long and slow and all we want is to see our Kiana smile like she used to, laugh whole heartedly, and not feel like a stranger in her own skin - we want her to look in the mirror and feel like her again. She has suffered severe trauma of the mind, body, soul and spirit and needs help in her journey to heal. The money raised will go towards some of her reconstructive surgery, the psychological, holistic treatment and support that she will need in the long journey ahead. Our hope is to see our amazing, lively, positive Kiana regaining the life she so deserves.
We will be eternally grateful for any donation, whatever the amount.
