My brother and sister-in-law Kevin and Sue Ellen Carroll live in Paradise California which was devastated by the Camp Fire in Northern California. His house was one of the many that were 100% destroyed. He worked two jobs both of which also burned down. Now he is forced to rebuild.
Kevin and Sue Ellen are active in E Clampus Vitus, a social service community organization rooted in the history of the California Gold Rush. They also help Kevin's mother, who also live in Paradise, whose home was saved. He is one of the first people to give me words of encouragements and he is so full of life.
When they evacuated, they had enough time to gather themselves and their pets and not much else. They essentially need to rebuild their entire lives with nothing but the clothes on their back. Insurance will help, but will take time.
