Help keep Buckland Farm Zimbabwe Chatting

Donation protected
Charlie and Heather Davies are pensioners in Zimbabwe who have hearts of gold. They have spent their lives looking after others and have always welcomed everyone into their home without question. They have lost everything, many times over and have picked themselves up and carried on. I remember as a child bringing the vegetables that had been grown on the farm into town and taking them around to the pensioners. Not because we knew anyone there, just because they could. They still buy dog biscuits that they can little afford to feed the monkeys that love to play on the house roof and have adopted them as their owners. You may know Charlie from his daily posts on his Facebook page but what is going on from a normal person in Zimbabwe.  You may know him from his army days when he was training troops to fight.  Or you may not know him at all but like to hear the news from Zimbabwe

Life in Zimbabwe is a currently struggling for them and the many Zimbabweans with the changes of the financial climate in Zimbabwe.  Many have had to leave their beloved homes behind and unemployment is at an extreme level.  Many people are trying everything in order to create some money.  People who remain like Charlie and Heather do not want to leave as this will mean less employment and the few workers that remain working for them will likely have no means of income if their job is take from them.  This means everyone is stuck in a never-ending cycle.  Now the financial crisis has hit the medical supplies and treatments, life has become even more difficult than ever before. The supplies are difficult to come by and even more difficult to pay for. For Charlie as a cancer survivor Colostomy bags must be sent over from the UK and asthma pumps are like gold dust.

Charlie has recently found himself in hospital on several occasions with his throat narrowing due to the radiation and chemo he received for his Colon cancer. This means he is choking on the smallest food and the visits are costly with him trying to leave hospital at the earliest possible moment to lower the costs. On his last visit they to the hospital to have food removed from this through they found a tumour in his stomach which he has now been removed and we are waiting on the result.  However, it is looking like good news for now as the doctor believe it was found early enough and that it looks benign, but we await the confirm of this.

Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart for all your support.
