Help JP after Spinal Cord injury

$14,320 of $95,000 goal

Raised by 145 people in 5 months
My husband, John Paul, was helping out a friend when he had an accident.  He severely damaged his spinal cord and broke the vertebrae in his neck.   He had a surgery to help stabilize his neck, but as result of the accident, he is paralyzed from the neck down.   Although we are very optimistic, the doctors say that his injury is permanent.   He is a loving husband and a devoted father of two young kids.  The life that we envisioned together has been forever changed.  We will have a challenging road ahead of us, but we are strong and will fight.    We are truly grateful for your love, support and prayers. Our family is in desperate need of financial help.   We are humbly asking for any help that you can give.    Thank you!

Hi,
Updates, updates, updates.....

JP is doing well and he has been making great progress in therapy and with his breathing.

As you can see in one of the pictures he has been going on the tilt table at which he was able to go up 65 degrees. During the next couple therapy sessions we are going to try to get him stand upright and see how it goes.

We spend a lot of time outside where JP can watch the kids run around and play, and from time to time enjoying therapy sessions outdoors as well.

Thanks to the technology we are able to stay in touch every day via Facetime and other means.

PS - If Anyone would like to reach out to him-you can. Though if you do not have his phone number feel free to contact me.

♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ Much Love!!

Hi everyone hope you are all doing amazing. Just a little update on what's going on and where we're at. The other day we were able to go outside with JP which was great.

JP has been slowly getting back into the shape he was in before the surgery. Things are looking good so far and hopefully within the next week or so he will be able to get back on his regular diet.

Thank you everyone and I will be keeping you posted.

JP is back in the Rehabilitation Facility. :))
We were all awaiting this step and it had finally COME-AGAIN.
After the second surgery we had to take a few steps back for a couple of days: JP had to go back on being fed through the feeding tube ( which he did not like at all). Then with the pneumonia, he had to take antibiotics which he just finished yesterday.

This upcoming week will be a whole new "positive" week. He will be taking all his tests again : the swallowing test, motion and sensation test. ;]

Thank you all for the continuous support!

Hi all, just an update.
JP'S surgery went well, thank you all for all the prayers and donations.

He is doing well, just has pneumonia in his left lung which the doctors have under control. The plan is to get him back into rehabilitation by the end of the week- hopefully this will happen.

New updates coming soon!

Thank you very much to all!
