Help Joel Ricketts get Med flighted

On Tuesday December 18th Joel was visiting his family and friends back home in Manchester Jamaica for the holiday. On the night of December 18th Joel and his friends were in his friends vehicle when they were involved in a head on collision with an incoming truck. Joel currently is in Kingston hospital in Jamaica with his Mom, Dad and siblings by his side. He is fighting for his life, he currently has some broken bones, he is on life support and currently has some blood clots in his brain, the hospital in Jamaica has put him in a medically enduced coma to help from further damage of his brain. Mass General has a bed open for him for care here In Massachusetts to get him the medical attention he needs. But he needs to be Med Flighted back into the United States. We are coming together to ask for everyone to come together and make any possible donation to help with the cost of the Med Flight. Time is of the essence.. Joel has always been one to give the shirt off his back and help those in need. He always wants to make sure everyone is ok.

12/25/18 Update:
The retainer for the Med Flight has been met. The funds from Go Fund Me cannot get transferred fast enough into Joel’s parents bank account (it takes 2-5 business days to receive)so a private donor has put up the money to front the retainer in the mean time until the funds go thru.
The retainer ($27,080) for the air ambulance does not account for extra things like refueling poor weather ,deicing the plane as well as if there is any extra things Joel needs while being transferred, so we need to keep on raising for any addition medical care.
Any additional funds in excess of air transportation will be applied to Joels extra medical care. His family will have to travel from Cape Cod to Boston and will have extra medical costs as well as other expenses. Please continue to donate, Joel is responding well to treatment we need him in tiptop shape.
The MedFlight going to Mass General is scheduled for tomorrow 12/26/18 .
We will update his condition when the doctors evaluate him.
