Jim Kossoff is a devoted father of five, a loyal friend, and a dedicated parishioner of St. Ignatious church who happens to be suffering from toxic mold poisoning and needs our help! The treatments cost $5,000/week, and most patients need an average of 12 weeks of treatment, none of which is covered by insurance.
One month after Hurricane Irma, he was working at his office in Spring Hill, FL when he noticed a musty smell. He requested an air quality test be done, and when the results came in, it was so bad that he was told to take all of his personal belongings and leave that day. The mold remediation company found toxic mold in the walls, carpet, and air conditioning unit.
As a result of the mold, Jim is suffering from chronic sinus problems, the beginnings of athsma, gastrointestinal problems, and there is evidence of brain damage from the toxins. His worker’s compensation application was denied with a response that, “it is not a clear cut injury like a broken arm.”
After six months of searching and $10,000 in diagnostic testing, Jim has finally found a doctor who specializes in mold treatment. The therapy consists of six hour a day, daily IV infusions via a port that is surgically placed in his chest, leaving him extremely tired, and mentally fuzzy, much like “chemo brain.”
