Help Jennifer Beat Leukemia!

Help Jennifer Beat Leukemia!

In late March 2018, after a trip to the Emergency Room with abdominal pain, it was discovered that Jennifer Mullen Golden’s white blood count was very low. She was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia (ALL).

Treatment and Recovery

Jennifer’s course of care is chemotherapy, radiation, and an upcoming bone marrow transplant, all the while being admitted to Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York City. Her treatment is anticipated to span over 100 days with a recovery period from 18 months to 2 years. Throughout this time her husband and family have been juggling caring for her three young daughters, aged 5 through 14.

Where your donation will go

Although medical insurance should cover much of the cost of Jennifer’s care, it is anticipated that there will be limits to coverage which might present some expensive bills. Financial burdens should not be an obstacle on the road to recovery. Some of the funds raised will assist her children to maintain participation in school and sporting events. Donations would also help pay for transportation and parking to and from the hospital, as well as assist with normal expenses due to the loss of wages during this time.

How you can help

Jennifer’s loved ones, friends and neighbors have been a blessing to her family, and she knows that she is not alone in this fight! Please share this with friends and family and keep Jennifer in your prayers. If you can make a donation, no matter how big or small, it would be very much appreciated for the tough times that lay ahead.
