Help Jenni Fight Stage 3 Breast Cancer

A huge Thank You to our friends at Creme de la Creme in Ashburn VA who sponsored a Breast Cancer Awareness day at their preschool. Thank you to your wonderful staff and families for participating in this event sending Jenni love, support, and good wishes. Jenni and her daughter Tabby are so blessed to have so many people who care for them during this long journey. Thank you again to each and every one of you!!!

Anyone who knows Jenni Shelton can tell you what a happy, generous, positive, and all-around great person she is. Jenni has a little girl, the joy of her life, Tabitha who will turn 3 this October.

Jenni is loved and adored by her students where she teaches preschool in Chantilly, Virginia.

Jenni’s life changed this past August when she noticed something was wrong and went to her doctor who in an instant informed her that she had Breast Cancer. In a spit second Jenni’s life changed. After testing she found out she has a rare form of breast cancer, Triple Negative Stage 3 Inflammatory Breast Cancer. She asked herself how could this be, I am only 37 with no history of breast cancer?

Her Oncologist right away mapped out a 9-month intensive treatment plan starting with chemotherapy, surgery, to radiation. Jenni will not be able to work full time for months due to her invasive treatments and surgery but she is hopeful to reduce those days of recovery so she can come back to teaching her kids.

As you can imagine, a preschool teacher’s salary is very minimal and her health insurance benefits come with a very large deductible. She just received medical bills from the hospital that her insurance company will not cover, and so Jenni’s medical hardship begins.

I am a friend, a co-worker to Jenni and to see her stress over her finances to pay medical bills and support her little girl while keeping a smile on her face hurts me but also gives me so much hope for her and her family.

Jenni would never ask for help but I am asking for help on her behalf, any amount that can be given will help her pay for her medical expenses so she can focus her love and care for herself as well as for her little girl during this hard time.

Thanks to all of you!
