I'm a music teacher by choice, and a breast cancer advocate by accident, now pivoting to health policy professional. As a 5 year breast cancer survivor and 3 year breast cancer research and policy advocate I've learned the importance of informed advocacy at all levels and the importance of ensuring the patient voice is present in all levels of health policy.
All my advocacy training and experience has led me to answer this higher call of policy training. I LOVE being an advocate. Through that work I've learned that advocacy is so important. BUT. Change happens at the policy level. So in order to be most effective, I need policy skills!
I've been accepted into the Rutgers University Bloustein school beginning September 2019 with a 50% tuition scholarship for which I am exceedingly grateful.
In order to maintain my funding from Rutgers I must attend full-time. This leaves 2 years of living expenses to cover as well as the remaining tuition and fees.
Can you help me reach my goal?
