Janet has been bravely fighting stage 4 ovarian cancer for the last 5 years. She has never let it stop her from doing what she loves: working with children as an educational assistant, gardening and spending time with friends & family. She always has a smile on her face and an upbeat attitude despite the fact that cancer tumours continue to grow and cause her immense pain.
She has undergone surgery and numerous rounds of chemotherapy. Now the doctors want her to get radiation therapy to help lessen the size of her tumours and provide some relief to her swollen right leg which she can barely use.
Beginning this Tuesday, Janet, along with Wayne Church, her husband, will go down to Winnipeg which is a 6 hour drive from Swan River and begin the first five days of radiation therapy. We are hoping and praying that the radiation therapy will be effective. They will have to stay in Winnipeg until the therapy is finished.
Both Janet and Wayne will have to miss work as well as pay for expenses such as a hotel, gas and food. Your contributions can help lessen the stress of having to fight cancer while worrying about finances. Any contributions will be greatly appreciated.
