HELP! I've been SCAMMED!!

I arrived in Hawaii to find out, after waiting an hour at the airport for my new landlord to pick me up. As I sat there any everyone around me was incredibly sweet, I realized this whole thing was a SCAM and I lost my $2500.
I confirmed he was going to pick me up "tomorrow" night. However, I am still confused as to why he pushed it further.
I am currently at a different hotel every night, despately trying to find a place.
Any help will be appreciated.
