HELP HOUSE ME FOR SUMMER

A good long time friend convinced me to start this page. Here’s my story...in 2014 I was arrested and spent 2 years in Federal Prison. While there, I completed a 9 month residential drug program along with lots of other classes to improve myself. I was released in 2016 to a half way house in Salinas. Just 4 months after I got there I was diagnosed with lymphedema which causes my legs to swell to almost double their size with any walking, standing or sitting. I decided since I couldn’t work at any regular 9-5 job, I would go back to college. So at 50 I went back to school. I was going for a major in art and wanted to teach deaf and hard of hearing kids. That was a job that I would only need to be on my feet for small lengths of time. My second semester I began ASL (American Sign Language) and immediately fell head over heels in love with it. It was then I decided to be an interpreter and found out Ohlone College in my home town of Fremont had one of the most respected Interpreter programs in the area. With 3 weeks to go in my first semester in ASL the halfway house decided not to renew my stay there for another 90 days and I was released into the unknown. For the last week I’ve been living in my Honda Civic at Central Park. Because I’m homeless my attorney is getting my disability claim expedited to be held hopefully in the next 90 days. I’m still going thru with my plan and am meeting with a guidance counselor and enrolling for summer semester which begins in mid June . I need help with paying for a room to rent until my disability goes thru. So here’s the part I didn’t want to do....I’m reaching out to anyone who can help with any donation to help house me for the summer. Any amount is more than enough and is appreciated.
