Help Homeless Veterans in PG County

Census data indicate that Prince George’s County has the highest percentage of veterans in the state of Maryland. According to the Department of Veteran’s Affairs, there are ≈1,000 homeless veteran’s in the county. These brave men and women deserve more in return for their service to our nation.

Kirstin’s Haven, Inc. serves homeless veterans in Prince George’s County by providing them with transitional housing and supportive services that lead to stability and permanent housing. Kirstin’s Haven helped 40 veterans over the past two years, but with your help, we can help many more!

Kirstin’s Haven needs $60,000 to renovate a home that will provide a safe, affordable housing for homeless veterans. With your help, we can bring the plumbing, electrical and HVAC up to code and furnish the home to create a nurturing environment.

With your help, we can open this home and provide shelter and services for up to 10 veterans at a time. Kirstin’s Haven programming begins with providing a safe place to live but includes counseling and case management services to help veterans to be self-sufficient and live more productive lives.
