Our Story
If you know my dog, Holden, you know he is the best dog in the world! I adopted him blind, and he surprises everyone who meets him by how capable he is. Holden is getting older, but he is still strong and healthy. Holden enjoys hiking and laying in the sun. He also likes going on road trips and camping.
Holden's Health
Recently I found out Holden has a paralyzed larynx. This is a common thing to happen to labs like Holden. What happens with this injury is that dogs are not able to breathe properly. They cannot walk very far, they don't do well in the heat, and sometimes it can even result in death.
I love my dog with all my heart, and I want to provide the best possible life for him since he has many years left. Without Holden, the last couple of years of my life would have been hopeless. I want to repay him by elevating his quality of life.
How You Can Help
This surgery is an extremely expensive surgery, and I will figure out a way to pay for it no matter what. As a teacher (and living on one income), it will be financially trying for me. I am setting up this gofundme to help offset some of these expenses.
