Help Heather fight metastatic breast cancer

My name is Bonnie Smith.  I'm a single mother with a ten year-old daughter.  My daughter's best friend is Lilly Diaz and her mother is Heather Mueller.   While working as a Police Officer, Heather was diagnosed with breast cancer about five years ago, she had a double mastectomy and thought everything was fine.  A few months ago, Heather started having a lot of pain in her hips and back.  It got to the point where she couldn't deal with the pain anymore, went on disability and started to see a chiropractor, then had an MRI.  It came back that there was a lesion on her sacrum.  After a bone scan and a CT scan, a biopsy was needed.  However, it could not be done due to the location being too close to the spine.   A PET scan was then ordered  where a second lesion was found on the left Iliac bone.  This was biopsied and a diagnosis of Stage IV Metastatic  Breast Cancer was given, (Metastatic Breast Cancer is cancer that has spread to other areas of the body, but is still called Breast Cancer). The Oncologist said that it is not currently life threatening, but it is life long. This cancer is not curable.  She will have to have radiation and be on hormone blockers and other cancer-fighting medications for the rest of her life.  She will have to have scans regularly to make sure that the medications she's taking are working and to make sure that the cancer isn't spreading. This diagnosis devastated her, to say the least.  She is still processing and trying to figure out how she can have a somewhat normal life and take care of her daughter.  Heather is still not able to go back to work.  She is beginning radiation therapy in the next few weeks and it's hopeful that after that begins, she will be able to go back to work.  She has already fallen behind on bills due to the fact that she hasn't been able to work.  She is also worried that her health insurance will not cover all of her testing and medications.  This Go Fund Me page is for Heather and her daughter Lilly.  Heather is a single mother and all the bills fall on her shoulders.  She is just trying to get to feeling as best she can so that she can get back to work to be able to pay her bills.  She has even been applying for other jobs so that she will not have the manual labor of working in her current position at the Amazon warehouse.  Please considering donating to help her get through this rough time.  These funds will help her to catch up on her bills (car, rent, etc.) and stay current so that she doesn't have any other major life altering events besides having to deal with this horrible diagnosis.  They will also go towards hospital, doctor, and  payments for the medications that she will surely incur.  Please feel free to ask me any questions.
