Help Greg Fight Lymphoma
Donation protected
My Father, Greg Boik, is one of the most strong, loving, compassionate, and amazing men I have ever known. He is also, extremely proud and humble, so asking for help during a difficult time is extremely difficult.
In late July, Greg started to experience ongoing complications from pneumonia. After many doctor appointments and rounds of antibiotics, his doctor finally recommended that he visit the ER in Tawas, MI.
From there, he was rushed to Covenant Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan. Throughout a rollercoaster of a week, with many informal diagnosis, Greg was finally diagnosed with Stage III large cell B Non-Hogkins Lymphoma.
The diagnosis is a complete shock to the entire family, and Greg has been in the hospital since August 9th.
After the diagnosis was given, Greg was not released from the hospital, and has already started his first round of chemotherapy.
Greg will go through 18 weeks and 6 rounds of chemotherapy. He lives approximately 2 hours from the hospital where he will be receiving the treatment that will go through the winter. This includes hotel stays, a reliable vehicle, additional costs of travel, etc.
My father is self-employed, and uses the fall/winter months to make furniture. This will be a task that will become extremely difficult or non-existant over the next 5 months.
My goal of this fundraiser is to allow my father the ability to heal through this process as comfortable as possible. This includes the additional medical costs, a reliable vehicle, money for travel costs, minor home repairs, and month to month bills.
I know many of you know and love my family. They would literally do anything for anyone. This has been one of the most difficult processes that we have ever dealt with, and are looking for the support of our friends, family, loved ones from near and far to help.
We love you, all!!!!!
