Help Gracie's Family

Donation protected
Baby Grace is just over a year old and has already undergone brain surgery, months stay in the NICU and ICU, and has several different therapies many days a week.  Her family has been through hellish times, to say the least.  She is healing so wonderfully and is now starting to eat food, is  focusing and following objects with her eyes, and is enjoying tummy time.  Cerebral Palsy is the diagnosis, but everyone is hopeful for great, improved health and motor skills as Grace develops. She is the sweetest kid, the youngest of four, and her whole family is just so warm, caring, and graceful.  Mom Sara is one of the strongest, most beautiful people I know.  She and Dad Anthony are youth leaders at their church, and are gentle, kind and generous to people of all faiths and opinions.  This family is really the epitome of beauty.

After 10 years, the Taitingfong family had to move last October from their apartment because it kept flooding.  Grace was a few months old, just past her last hospital stay, and the transition was hard, but they made it through and things have been looking up.  We quickly recognized how lucky we were to have this amazing family move next door to us!

Sadly, Grace was just diagnosed with another 3 millimeter aneurysm and her family and friends are devastated, but hopeful that the upcoming surgery and therapies will be successful.  She is scheduled for brain surgery in the beginning of July.  Prayers / good thoughts and vibes are appreciated!

Here is another big problem:  their landlord decided to sell the home they are in (the one they moved into not even a year ago), which means they will need to move AGAIN within a couple months!  This is beyond overwhelming with all the physical challenges and therapies Grace is dealing with and the surgery (and hospital stay) Grace will need to soon undergo.  The stress of it all is really starting to take a toll on the whole family.
Though we were hoping they would be the family to purchase the home so they wouldn't have to move again (and so we could keep them as neighbors), it is not in the cards at this time.  Big medical bills and spending a couple months out of work in the hospital with their daughter depleted their funds.  Their landlord will not allow them to break the lease early (will not return their deposit!!), but they need to find a home before Grace's big brain surgery so they'll have a place to live!

***Our new goal is to help them with a deposit on a new home they will rent close by (hopefully longer term) and with medical bills that are so weighty.  This will provide some relief and lots of hope!

Please help this beautiful family reduce some stress in this very trying time.  Financial relief will enable them to focus on caring for their sweet baby.  I hope we can raise $8,000 by the end of July, 2018.  They are hard working and would never ask for a hand-out, but sometimes we all need a little extra support.

Please share this on Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.  The more people who see it, the better our chances.
Please also send warm thoughts of healing for Baby Gracie and peace for her wonderful family.  They deserve all good things.
