UPDATE (December 20, 2019): after over 8.5 months Naama finally got her appeal. Unfortunately, it was a sham trial. Fake and all for show. 6.5 hours in the courtroom and a verdict that was made in 20 minutes: appeal denied. Naama gave an outstanding testimony, and our lawyers gave an unarguable defense. There is no fair system here. Justice was not served today!!! We continue to fight.

UPDATE (November 19, 2019): it has been 7.5 months and we are still fighting! Naama (American/Israeli citizenship) - a 26 year old bright and beautiful soul with her whole life ahead of her - is languishing in a federal Russian prison facing 7.5 years. She has spent the jewish new year, the holy day Yom Kippur, and her 26th birthday in a foreign jail. All because she is being used as a bargaining chip for political gain. My mother is STILL living in Moscow, also for 7 months, trying to free her. We have hired more lawyers, political advisors, press managers, and a full team over in Israel to help us fight, to help us continue showing the world she won't be used as a political pawn, and to help get her home. This isn't easy, not on any level, and on behalf of my family we sincerely thank everyone that has already donated and continues to do so. In early April my little sister, who was traveling from India back home to Tel Aviv, got detained in Moscow while waiting for a connecting flight, because they found a few grams of hash in her checked bag. After being detained for 2 days at the airport, she was thrown into a detention center where she has spent the last 4 months. The Russian authorities have been absolutely ruthless, and are trying to charge her with smuggling instead of possession for personal use. We have lawyers, we have the embassies involved, we are doing absolutely everything we can and it’s not enough. My mom has also been here for 4 months fighting for her release. The fees and expenses for everything is piling up, as you can imagine.

My sister is a bright and shining 25 year old yoga instructor who is facing years in a foreign prison, for a crime SHE DID NOT COMMIT, because someone has decided to make an example out of her. She has both American and Israeli citizenship. 
If you are willing and able to make a contribution, know it would go such a long way. We will not stop fighting until we get her home.
