Help Get Rhody on his Feet

This little guy, is Rhody! And on the right of that picture, is an x-ray of Rhody's front legs. But first, some background.

Rhody came to me on day 3 of a summer veterinary internship. A man found him abandoned and alone and brought him to the veterinary hospital because he could not care for him, and was worried about the state of his front left leg. It couldn't bear any weight, had no muscle, and he had little control of it. 

The first time I held him, it was love at first sight and I knew I would keep him.  The man who found him said "he's all love" and he couldn't have said it better. Rhody purrs all the time, he even purred while being held for getting his blood drawn. He is sweet and charming and in the few short weeks I've been able to call him mine, I have loved having him. He is only about 4 months old and has had to deal with more than any pet should in life. 

The most pressing thing, is that his front left leg has been fractured while he was quite young, and healed in a way that gives him little use of his leg. However, the veterinarian that I am currently working under believes that it can be fixed. Along with this, Rhody needs his vaccines, ear mite medication, heartworm preventative, tick preventative, and food. Having the privilege of caring for Rhody is something I am incredibly thankful for, and any and all help that can be given for him is something I am incredibly thankful for as well. I look forward to ultimately seeing Rhody happy, healthy, and strong!
