Tax deductible
UPDATE:  Thank you to all who have donated to this cause!  Thanks to you and other generous donors, we were able to raise the money to get the bleachers for the new education center!

Stay tuned for more updates and progress!

Hi my name is Ethan Armstrong and I'm a Boy Scout with the Troop 199 in Washington Park, Denver, Colorado.  I'm trying to do my Final Eagle Scout project that is close to the heart of my family, and that means a lot to me. My dad has been a Firefighter for the last 22 years with Denver Fire. Working at old Station 26 in Stapleton, Station 6 downtown in Hazmat, and now finally station 16 as a Lieutenant by DU. He also was one of the founding members of Denver’s highly successful wildland team. It is a big way of life around my house knowing he's gone a lot for wildland and normal work shifts. I want my eagle scout project to give back to Denver Fire with everything they have done for my family.
So here is what I plan to do with this project. We will be remodeling the education theatre at the Denver Firefighters Museum.  I will repaint the floors and walls. Tearing the bleachers out and installing new telescopic bleachers. Installing a projector and movie screen.  Building a small storage area for their tables and chairs.  Building small wooden frames around the three pictures Charlie Brown painted .  Replacing the light fixtures in the room and adding fans for the summer heat.  We will also try to cover the manhole in the middle of the room as well to make a even walking surface.

So this GoFundMe is to try to raise money for the Telescopic Bleachers which will replace the old wooden benches. Why are these bleachers better?  They are collapsible making this room a better multi functional area.  Also they will have ADA compliant stairs so more people can safely access entering and exiting the bleacher sections.  All other equipment and supplies have been donated.  We will match every donation up to $5,000.  This would bring our total to $10,000 which would cover the cost and professional installation of the bleachers.
