Help friends & their dog injured in home invasion

I work with a great guy who is so friendly, quiet, caring and has a great sense of humor. I have watched him go out of his way to help people and make sure they get the care they need. He, his wife and his dog were seriously injured in a home invasion this weekend.  Everyone survived.  Unfortunately the dog was shot in the leg.  She was missing for about 4 days before they were able to find her.  Her injuries were such that they were unable to save her leg.  She is going home today to be with her mommy and daddy but has a long recovery ahead of her along with her mommy and daddy needing to recover too.  She is going to learn to live with only 3 legs. The vet bill is really expensive and all his friends and coworkers want to help.  We figure this is the best way at this time.  Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated by all.
