Help for the Youngdale Family

Donation protected
Kurt & Becky Youngdale of Albany, Ind., lost three dogs and a cat, their home, and all of their possessions – including this year's Christmas presents to a fire on December 19.

The Youngdales are parents of seven children, including Eli, 7, Rosa, 9, two foster children, girls aged 11 and 2, and Mandie, 22, who lives at home with her family.

The Red Cross has helped this precious family with emergency shelter, but their neighbors and friends are looking for your support in helping them replace some of their possessions and Christmas gifts. Please give what you can to help these awesome people.

If you cannot help with a financial gift, they will need to replace everything they own. They will be looking for clothing in following sizes:

Woman's 3X and 2X
Men's XL (pant 38)
Girls: 10/12 L, 14/16 XL, 3T/4T
Boys: 5/6 S

They also need things like towels, air mattresses & sheets, blankets, etc.

Our local fire department is accepting donations. Information here:

Most of all, the Youngdales need your prayers and good thoughts to carry them through this difficult time.

The Star Press covered the fire. If you'd like to read the story, here's the link: http://www.thestarpress.com/story/news/2016/12/19/fire-destroys-albany-home/95623796/

*GoFundMe likes for these pages to have details about the person behind the account to protect the donors from fraud. I am happy to comply.

My name is Kristen Bitzegaio, and the Youngdales live down the road from my family. Two of their adult sons own the house right behind me. They are good friends with our next door neighbors, Curtis and Britney, who helped greatly launching this page.

I own Eos Nonprofit Consulting, so as a nonprofit professional, I take stewardship of donor funds very seriously. Andrea Jent is Becky's daughter-in-law, and is designated as the beneficiary. Andrea & Dustin will transfer the funds directly to the Youngdales' bank account. Kurt & Becky will use these funds to get back on their feet following the fire, most likely for housing expenses and/or to replace their belongings.
