Help for the Stohlmans

Joan Stohlman has Pleural Mesothelioma, caused by the asbestos her late husband of 50 years brought home on his clothing—she did his laundry all of those years. After her last scan, Joan decided she wanted to go home to New Jersey to see her brothers and sisters and other family so her daughter Lisa drove her from Michigan to New Jersey. Lisa’s twin, Joanne is going to join them to help with the trip back. The last scan showed that Joan has a tumor growing in her ribcage and she’s in terrible pain—making this trip hard on her and Lisa. When they get back, Joan is going to get radiation for pain management and then probably hospice.
