Help for the Houston Family

If you have had the privilege to meet Felicia, you would never know she is sick. She is an airforce vet, creative business owner, amazing friend and above all a wonderful wife and mother. Felicia was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease in 2015. Since then, Felicia’s life changed. She started on daily medications and regular doctor appointments. There were also several hospitalizations over the years. Fast forward to 2019 and Felicia’s health has quickly deteriorated forcing her to quit her job in the medical field and slowing her ability to take orders for her custom clock business, making her husband the sole provider for their family of 3.

Felicia is currently in stage 5 kidney failure with her kidneys only at 9% function. Felicia was recently hospitalized and had two surgeries in a week to get a fistula in her arm and a heart catheter so she could receive life saving dialysis immediately. Felicia’s life now consists of taking 7 different medications daily and doing dialysis 3 times a week. The Houston family’s monthly cost for this is over $700 not including the hospital bills that are starting to roll in. Felicia is currently waiting to get on the list for a kidney donor and there is no timeline of when she will receive one.
